Discipleship-I

Establishing a Basic Foundation For Spiritual Growth

LLF teaches Discipleship-I in a one to one format.  The 16 lessons of the discipleship ministry bring the disciple through stage one (repentance), stage two (enlightenment) and into stage three (ministry training) of the discipleship process. We hope to produce people who recognize the change in their lives, who know the basic principles and characteristics of the Lord Jesus Christ, and who actively engage in the work of the ministry.

From this basis, we continue the young Christian's development of his/her spiritual growth. Once involved in a ministry, the ministry leadership helps develop the disciple through the remaining stages of discipleship.

The Discipleship ministry focuses on four primary goals. Evidence of these four goals must show in the life of the disciple in order for him or her to be successfully discipled.  The 16 lessons in themselves are not magic, they represent only basic Bible principles and tools to guide and build a biblical foundation in the life of the believer in order to put him or her on the path to spiritual maturity.  By themselves, the lessons will not accomplish the purpose of discipleship.

The Four Goals of Discipleship

  1. To Establish the disciple in the Word of God.
  2. To Establish the disciple in the Fellowship of other Believers.
  3. To Establish the disciple in the Structure of the Local N.T. Church.
  4. To Establish the disciple in the Work of the Ministry.
