Mission Statement
To minister the Word of God through music, allowing the congregation to praise God in Spirit and in Truth.
Key Verse - Psalm 40:3 “And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and trust in the Lord.”
“And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God.”
Lawrence Life Fellowship uses a combination of praise songs, choruses and hymns to spread the Gospel message to reach a diverse city and congregation. Expression of worship is very personal and is not to be unrighteously judged by an individual. Praise is for the Lord. The medium needs to fit the message, but very wide latitude exists, because ultimately, the medium must get people to listen to the message. If you want people to listen to the message, you start by using a sound they want to hear. The Bible does not define the sound, but instead is defined by culture. The apostle Paul never warned against any kind of music. Music is not the issue, the message is. The message that is presented in the praise ministry at Lawrence Life Fellowship is always based in the Word of God.
“Many shall see it, and fear, and trust in the Lord.”
The great preacher Charles Spurgeon once wrote, “The melancholy of some Christians tends to repel seekers, but the holy joy of others tends to attract them. I do not doubt that we would become more useful if we praised God more, and others would join us, for they would see that God has blessed us.” People will see that the praise at LLF is genuine and we truly believe the words of the songs we sing. Praise is an integral part of the service preparing the congregation for the message and allowing them a chance to praise God together with one voice.
